Feast and festivals have become an
integral part of human life in almost every society these days. In most cases
their origin can be traced to ancient social rites, religious practices or
anniversaries of some memorable events. For Muslims, there are two main
festivals: the one following the month of fasting is called Eid-al-Fitr, while
the festival following the ceremony of Hajj is known as Eid
al-Adha.

Definition of Eid-al-Fitr
Eid-al-Fitr
is one of the biggest festivals in Muslim Society. Eid means “festivity” in
Arabic, and Fitr means “breaking the fast.” From the meaning of the words, we
can presume that Eid-al-Fitr is a holiday that celebrates the end of fasting. It
is held on the first day of Shawwal, the 10th month in The Muslim Calendar, to
mark the end of Ramadan. The festival lasts for three
